Paola Yacoub conducted her first experiments with automata in architecture and photography as an artist and architect. In collaboration with Michel Lasserre, she documented the changes in Lebanese territories during the war and in the postwar period. Her works are exhibited internationally, including at Kunst-Werke Berlin, the Venice Biennale, the Beirut Art Center, and the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. From 2013 to 2018, she served as the founding director of the ARP (Artistic Research Practices) program at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut.
