Hendrikje Alpermann studied ethnology in Leipzig, Halle (Saale), and Tbilisi, as well as sociocultural studies at the European University Viadrina and the École d’Urbanisme de Paris. Her research focuses on everyday urban life and the interplay between architecture, urban planning, and society. She served as a research assistant at the Leibniz Institute for Spatial Social Research and the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Lausanne, as well as in the university administration at the European University Viadrina. She initiated and directed the transdisciplinary festival “wohn_komplex” to mark the 60th anniversary of Halle-Neustadt (together with Sabine Strobler and Karoline Stegemann).

Gilles Aubry is a Swiss artist, musician, and researcher based in Berlin who works at the intersection of visual art, sound, and research. The focus of his productions, compositions, installations, films, and performances lies on sound materiality, coloniality, and …ecology. His sound projects have been shown at international exhibitions such as documenta 14 and at the Museo Reina Sofía. He holds an MA in Sound Art from the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Bern.

Lisa Anne Auerbach runs a modest propaganda empire from her home in Los Angeles. She knits subversive sweaters and banners, takes photos of overlooked landmarks, and brings small publications to the wider world. She has had solo exhibitions at the Gavlak Gallery in Los Angeles, Printed Matter, and the University of Michigan Museum of Art, among others.
