Das Körperliche und das Politische von Sound

The publication constitutes the theoretical part of the diploma thesis submitted by Jens Röhm in 2001 at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg in the Department of Visual Communication. Apart from minor corrections, the text corresponds to the original manuscript, including its idiosyncratic citation style and incomplete bibliography. The “tracks” mentioned in the text exist in part as initial versions of sound pieces, but were never completed by Jens Röhm. They therefore remain silent references, instructions for attentive listening, and compositional foundations for future remixes.
