WOLLBAU
Wolle – eine unterschätzte Ressource
“Wollbau” brings together artistic projects as well as art-historical and cultural-anthropological texts on sheep and wool processing. Although raw wool, as a renewable resource, is incredibly versatile, for several years now it has tended to be perceived as a worthless material and discarded. Folke Köbberling uses large quantities of this so-called waste product to create architectural installations, thereby offering a new perspective on this magnificent fiber material and integrating it more deeply into architecture, public spaces, and, consequently, society. Photographs, experimental setups, and DIY instructions complement the book’s interdisciplinary background texts.
